I discovered this project through the Archipelago Discord, and it looks really cool. There is some discussion that some people would love to use the project to create more easily AP worlds for the Archipelago randomizer. But the problem is that this project uses the GPLv3 license, which is pretty restrictive. They also have an example of how this randomizer isn't even compliant with the license:
So, imagine you make a mod loader, which injects into a game.
You put it under GPL
Any user can now request from you the GPL compliant source code of the game
You failed the license requirements, as you probably can't do that.
Would it be possible to change the license to the MIT license, or is there any specific reason why you choose GPLv3, as it doesn't seem to be correct? Thanks for all the great work.
Best regards
Lars
