Welcome to the XLED and XLED Plus discussion forum!

The XLED Plus package is an addon to the XLED package. Together these
packages are intended to make your Twinkly lights fully programmable in
python. That means that no longer are you limited by the Twinkly app,
which is rather restricted in its capabilities, and clumsy to
maneuver. With python, as a complete programmable language, you can
produce any conceivable effects for your lights.

The XLED package provides access to all low level calls of the twinkly
lights. The XLED Plus package in addition provides tools to create
various still or moving effects for your lights. Many predefined
effects are already included, others can be easily created with just
one or two lines of simple python code using these tools. However,
there are certainly many more conceivable effects that those included
in the package, so there are plenty of potential for additions.

This discussion forum is for all of you who wish to leave the Twinkly
app behind and start programming the lights with python instead. Here
you can ask questions, share hints, share experiences, suggest new
effects, or contribute relevant code snippets.
