I want to know if this applications allows same behavior as physical bluetooth scanners: Having target application foreground and getting code typed same as by keyboard. Is app GUI always required to be foreground?

My idea is to get barcode typed same as keyboard does (same as a physical scanner does): really replace physical scanner by software.
Maybe a status icon could be used to call QrScan while target app is foreground, then QrScan makes use of camera & preview over all, closes it restoring focus to previous app, and finally flushes string as keytype.
