They aren't enabled yet because they haven't finished reverse engineering it yet so it's not available. I wish we knew more, but the devs haven't given an update in awhile, to my knowledge. |
Reverse engineering is usually/can be a difficult process, depending on the project and complexity. It was basically forced upon us (the V4A community) since 64-bit became a requirement for it to function, since the original code hasn't been updated in almost a decade now (or longer, I can't remember it's been so long). I was ready to say goodbye until this project started. Just try and be patent and enjoy it for what it is currently. I've been using it since the first alpha build almost two years ago now and trust me, even with the limited features it still makes for a better audio experience than any other Android audio mod I've found. https://github.com/WSTxda/ViperFX-RE-Releases This is a fork originally for the propose of simply modernizing the app experience and UI but has now also incorporated some further contributed code to the project adding Reverberation. |
I did finally last month find a convolver file that gives a reasonable approximation of V4A's headphone surround. It is called, interestingly, Music of the Gods. Obviously, to get it to work, you'll need to get both V4A RE and James together. But still looking forward to the day when headphone surround will be back again. |
I'm a basic bitch lol I dont even use those options so I'm actually okay with the current mod as is. Well, the only feature I'm missing that I DID use is dynamic audio gain, I think it was called? Or something like that. So I'm really happy. I use the convolver on the Windows version of Viper, though. For android I pretty much only use viper clarity, viper bass, dynamic system and small adjustments to the master limiter. I think for the phone speaker I also use the EQ. But that's all I've ever needed to get amazing sound from my headphones when I'm out n about or on my walks. |
Is there any way I could enable these, or are they disabled for a limitation/glitch/etc reason?
