It is very nice that when I manually set the color of an .obj, the text of the Polygons turns to the selected color (as in 4,5,6 in the included example).
Could the same thing be applied to the .obj polygon text for the default colors (as in 1,2,3 in the included example, for which the surfaces are also green, blue, red by default, but not the text)?

@lblewis This can be done easily if you don't mind if the surfaces themselves display in colour, e.g., if the 3d view, text, and outline for the first surface are all green.
