I lost old notes using the legacy cloud boostnote UI - How I can bring them back?

Hey guys I haven't used boostnote for quite some time now... Last time it used to be hosted on note.boostnote.io

Once I updated to the new software. It didn't fetch my old notes. How I can bring them back? Any ideas will be much appreciated!

Did the old cloud storage get deprecated? The new UI is awesome so not a big deal if it was all got deleted its probably my fault I didn't migrate my data.

Yeah, the old legacy cloud storage was deprecated, but if you had the notes loaded and they were in local storage you can retrieve them.

If you have any further questions or the procedure is unclear, or you don't have indexed DBs inside your application data, please let me know so we can investigate which type of storage you actually had and resolve this, you can contact me or @Rokt33r directly on slack if it will make things faster for you.

Where can I find the destination directory on a windows PC? Where is the default location should be?

Can you clarify which destination directory are you looking for?

If we are talking about $EXTRACT_DESTINATION_DIR from the script above, this should be any valid directory where you want to extract data.

The location of local storage data for boost note application is somewhere in Application data on your user profile, under the Boostnote directory in Windows PC (something like C:\Users\user.name\AppData\Roaming\Boost Note\IndexedDB for indexed DBs folder or parent one for everything else related to the app).

Also, if you updated the app to the latest and PouchDB storages (local storage/legacy cloud) were removed from the storage data list (which the above scripts iterate to extract data), you probably need to use my procedure, which is posted on our slack channel, if you think this is your case and you want to follow it, please join our slack and contact me directly.
