Currently we have the below cern specific custom fields:

Part of the basic information available in the upload form

Part of the domain specific fields section in the upload form

• cern:experiments

By default all the fields are under the Additional details section.

• We need to make some mockups and circulate them for feedback on how we can distinguish between basic information custom fields and the one coming from a specific domain.
  • Potential ideas are to move the custom fields describing basic information above the Files section or,
  • move them under Keywords and subjects after rebranding it.

Upload form

By default, cern:experiments, cern:departments, cern:accelerators are part of the Basic information section now, while the Domain specific fields are just coming right below in a separate section:

• We need to make some mockups and circulate them for feedback on how to distinguish between basic information custom fields and those coming from a specific domain.
• We should align on helpt text wording for each of the custom fields e.g. how users can fill in each field.
• Analyze if the fields can be autocompleted from a controlled vocabulary
• We should align on the section naming between different custom fields
