I'm on the same installation:
MODX Revolution 2.2.14-pl (traditional)
MX Calendar 1.1.10

I have this issue too.
The file browser doesn't add a path to the TV when an image is selected. Inputting a path manually doesn't work either, as it still hangs on save.

(Same versions)
MODX Revolution 2.2.14-pl (traditional)
MX Calendar 1.1.10

on modx 2.3 not even the image upload popup showes up...
