Confused about wiring #129
-
In the assembly document it says the following:
Yet in the photo, the only ground pin being shared is that of the SDLT switch's middle pole and the FireBeetle GND pin. Also it says:
In the above image you can see my board and that reference image (top left). On the reference image the first female pin header on the FireBeetle is blank and second is labeled VCC, on my board the first pin header is VCC. Also looking at the reference image the wires don't go to the corriposnding labeled port on the other side. For example, GND on Accelerometer appears to go to 3V3, SCL to GND, SDA to SCL, and the SDA port on the FireBeetle is empty. The documentation clearly spells out which labels to to which apart from the accelerometer where the documentation is vague and image unclear. If anyone can advise I would much appreciate it. |

My plan was to create a schematic to solve the ambiguity in the wiring once
I got it all working. No luck yet though. Hopefully someone else can do it.

Also it says:
The I2C headers are directly opposite each other so if you've soldered on
a female header the easiest option here is some solid core wire.

The firebeetle only has 2 GND pins but if you use an accelerometer you'll need 3.
To make it simpler I used solid core jumper wire for the accelerometer so needed to share the last GND pin between the power switch and rotary encoder. The picture is at a bit of an angle so maybe gives the wrong impression but the I2C pins on the firebeetle should all be opposite the accelerometer.
