[BUG]: Failed to load product plugin 'symbol-database' on Mac M2 when using import ddtrace.auto

Running ddtrace-run example.py fails because of a failure while loading product plugin 'symbol-database'.

The issue was previously reported here but it was closed by the author and cannot re-open it myself. The original author mentioned it's happening only on MacOS, but also saw it happening on a python 3.9.6 alpine container on a x86-64 machine

It seems the errors started happening with ddtrace >= 2.7.0 and was introduced with 8bcf2fdc2f0b66edc12fb62ddd710af6000bdca2.
