Clarify the intended use of the helmet #1
Comments
@dschep good question 👍 😊 I'm the founder of this project and when I first contemplated Dragon Helmet, I imagined it as an alternative to smart glasses. Which means it's intended use is every day life. Though it might look like an absurd idea to walk around with a helmet on your head, that's exactly how I imagine future 😄 I think you can edit the text to clarify that the intended use is every day life and send a pull request. In the long term though, to clarify it's different from a motorcycle helmet, I believe we should definitely replace the helmet model with a more futuristic model that looks like for example this: |
Oh! I didn't realize that, super sci-fi 🖖 Given that, what level of protection, if any, is it meant to provide from impacts? |
@dschep by the way, the answer of why I'm using that model currently is; it was the only free and good quality CAD model that I could find at that moment. Maybe you can find a better CAD model now and propose a change or even find a 3D artist to design a new model. That would be a great contribution! 🏆 No one studied about the protection against impacts because it's not a priority at the moment. We should first resolve this issue: DragonComputer/DragonArmor#1 |
It's extremely unclear what the intended use of the helmet is. I'm guessing it's for motorcycle riding, but that should probably be explicitly mentioned.
