Hello. Thanks for crafting great free/opensource software!
As usual, there is always ways to improve, so:
Right now USB is only full fledged connectivity option, but BT and Wifi technologies are barely used, although as Linux/Android/(WSL if smb cares) example shows (including IP over USB, which could probably be used for drone programming/autonomy, fully automated missions with AI, semi-automated workflows when connected to Linux/Android device), these can be used much more extensively.
For instance, ELRS make Wifi connected webserver (or act as AP) for manipulating small amount of basic settings (including backuping and upgrading firmware), but EdgeTx as operating system is not giving even that limited option and if USB is unavailable there is problem even with backuping internal device storage (so called SD).
P.S. The only issue found in this direction, although narrower, is Wireless Model Share #4497
But as some 2 years have passed and now also Jumper (I got Jumper T20v1) has inbuilt storage, Wifi, BT, so Frsky is not alone anymore and ELRS has become much more first class citizen, making many others obsolete.
Describe the solution you'd like
Functions consolidated could be:
Joystick for SIM: USB, Wifi, BT
File transfer: USB, Wifi, BT (mount as storage, accessible with any file manager)
Configuration of EdgeTx (the same as with device knobs itself): USB, Wifi, BT (OTA updates/upgrades/backups) including Companion, Buddy.
Additional proposal: do EdgeTX UX interface changes, putting all these connectivity things (USB, Wifi, BT, serial/UART?) in one common submenu.
