Last release in late 2020... is this project still a priority for Expensify? #1392
Comments
Hi @gigatexal - thanks for your interest in the project and opening this issue. My apologies for the slow response. As you've no doubt noticed, we don't currently pay a whole lot of attention to the public repo. Bedrock is definitely a priority for Expensify - we run multiple clusters internally that power our entire business... Which is part of the reason we aren't as focused on the public side. Everything is happening internally. I'd love to revive the public face of Bedrock. Did you get anywhere with experimenting with it? |
I’ve not worked with it in a while as the job where the use case I’ve since left. It’s still a dope project. |
I got very excited when reading https://bedrockdb.com - only to then come across this issue. (And a few like it - like the MYSQL interface not working anymore). @fukawi2 while I understand and respect your decision to focus on internal matters - perhaps this could be mentioned (more) clearly on the website? |
For what it's worth, there are still tons of releases being conducted as of today: https://github.com/Expensify/Bedrock/releases I'm not sure about the state of the MySQL integration though, I haven't tried. It could work now though... |
Basically as the title suggests. I am curious to invest time in this project but if it's stale or not a priority for Expensify I will look elsewhere.
