Additional information

Mod List:
Architectury [9.2.14]
Artifacts [9.5.13]
Cloth Config v11 [11.1.136]
Friends & Foes [3.0.6]
Quilted Fabric API [7.7.0+0.92.2-1.20.1]
trinkets-3.7.2

Only the server side crashes. If you're playing multiplayer - the client just disconnects from the server and doesn't crash.
Single player entirely crashes/closes since the internal server dies.

I just tried with the following on Fabric(I dont support Quilt):

When equipped with night vision googles, no crash on totem activation.

Ah, I see. I was under the impression that Quilt was supported due to the title on the Modrinth/CurseForge pages.
It's "Friends & Foes (Fabric/Quilt)" but I see here on GitHub that's not the case.

It indeed doesn't crash under Fabric. In fact - it doesn't crash under Quilt with the Fabric API.
After even further testing - it only crashes with Quilted Fabric API.

I guess this should be considered an issue with Quilted Fabric API itself?

It seems this issue is related and likely what's happening.

Could be it, i would just highly recommend to use fabric instead of quilt at this point.

Unfortunately my friends and I are playing a modpack we made together with nearly 300 mods and a number of them require quilt. I would switch over otherwise. :/
