Meeting notices

Antitrust Policy

Linux Foundation meetings involve participation by industry competitors, and it is the intention of the Linux Foundation to conduct all of its activities in accordance with applicable antitrust and competition laws. It is therefore extremely important that attendees adhere to meeting agendas, and be aware of, and not participate in, any activities that are prohibited under applicable US state, federal or foreign antitrust and competition laws.

Examples of types of actions that are prohibited at Linux Foundation meetings and in connection with Linux Foundation activities are described in the Linux Foundation Antitrust Policy available at http://www.linuxfoundation.org/antitrust-policy. If you have questions about these matters, please contact your company counsel, or if you are a member of the Linux Foundation, feel free to contact Andrew Updegrove of the firm of Gesmer Updegrove LLP, which provides legal counsel to the Linux Foundation.

  • Approve Past Meeting Minutes

  • Graduation update - Motion passed through Oversight Committee. Now with Steering Committee for awareness.

  • v1.3 release
    - [x] @vaughanknight to update the contributing.md
    - [x] @danuw to ensure readme file comes as project overview in the published docs
Once Dan's pushed in the docusaurus updates, @vaughanknight will create the PR for v1.3 release, and then @danuw can approve to merge the code. Formal packaging of the release to follow.

  • .NET8 upgrade in temp branch, whilst we finalise v1.3 release. All PRs related to .NET and prometheus exporter are in the temp dotnet8 branch as of todays call. Ready for @YaSuenag's demo.
    - [x] Actions from last week:
    - [x] Documentations conflict updates needed to Upgrade to .NET 8.0 #404 @tiwatsuka - update: conflicts have been fixed. @vaughanknight submitted review and approved PR, merged into the dotnet8-upgrade branch.
    - [x] @YaSuenag unable to review Add example for 'podman play kube' #340 as unable to see @danuw's comments. Added comment to PR to unblock.

  • @YaSuenag reviewing Add cache functionality for emissions data #421 - Is the cache by default? No it's optional, so off by default. It does not change the behaviours of existing deployments when upgrading. Users can turn on via the configuration. @vaughanknight approved.

  • @YaSuenag request to merge Add Prometheus exporter #422, marked ready for review. First @tiwatsuka will rebase the PR for .NET8 exporter Upgrade to .NET 8.0 #404. Prometheus exporter not on by default. User will need to configure it to TRUE, to use it. Request from @vaughanknight to add > DISCLAIMER: The /metrics Prometheus exporter is currently unsupported, and is used for internal GSF needs, and may change in the future. It will retrieve all emissions data and create heavy load on your data API's. It is turned off by default.

  • Roadmap - what's after v1.3 release and .NET8 upgrade? No time, moving to next week.
