Pocket Operation - Entry Move #27
Comments
Yes. I think this feature was never completed. Sorry. |
Okay, thank you for the quick reply. Do you know if this would be implemented at some stage? Would be a great feature to have. Cheers, |
I seriously doubt it. Development on heekscnc has essentially stopped. There's some very active development in freecad that will reuse the heekscnc concepts and some of the code but it isn't ready yet. |
That's interesting, does that mean in the future they will be adding CNC CAM functionality to FreeCAD? |
That's the idea. A CAM workbench is in development with a lot of the work being done by one of the guys who contributed heavily to Heekscnc. The code isn't in the main FreeCAD repo yet, nor is it useful for end users but it's encouraging. |
On a pocket operation, the 'Entry Move' seems to always perform a Plunge regardless of the type selected.
I have tested this on:
v0.22.0 (win32)
v0.18.0 (win32)
and Ubuntu (compiled from GitHub)
