Help: Rockstar Launcher + Red Dead Redemption 2 (Steam Deck)?

Referring to Heroic Games Launcher on Steam Deck:
Is there a way to use Heroic Games Launcher to run the Rockstar Launcher (not Epic) version of Red Dead Redemption 2?

Through the Steam app, I am able to launch RDR2 through the Rockstar Launcher as a "non-Steam game". The R* Launcher starts, and I manually choose to start RDR2. It works, but a little clunky.

Ideally, I'd love to be able to start RDR2 without going into the R* Launcher, or at least be able to start the R* launcher and autostart RDR2.

...and yes I know I messed up by buying the Rockstar Launcher version instead of the Epic or Steam version.

BTW - I tried adding RDR2 to Heroic by pointing right at the installed game. I was able to do that, but the game fails to launch this way (error window quickly displays and closes, so no idea on the error).
