[Dreame L10 Ultra] Auto Empty Dock doesn't work (anymore)

Hi,

a few weeks ago I got a Dreame L10 Ultra and now installed Valetudo without any issues, as well as integrated into HomeAssistant.
As far as i understand after each cleaning pass the robot should trigger a "Auto Empty Dock" to suck the dust to the docking station.
My issue is, that the vacuum in the dock went on only exactly once and then never again. Now I can hear the robot annoucing the task, but no reaction from the docking station. Same behaviour when triggering the action manually via HomeAssistant, voice announcement but no emptying.

The installed version is Valetudo 2024.11.0
I already tried restarting both, the robot and docking station separately, simultaneously, as well as doing a complete firmware reset, but no luck.

Could this be a hardware fault or rather some software quirk? Any steps i could take to test this?

In case it helps I am comfortable with linux and minor hardware stuff as long as i don't break any warranty seals, in case I really need to send it back.
