even after installing Microsoft's fonts from the AUR and rebooting, Brave still looks like this:

it worked fine on the fedora version of your dotfiles

Run nwg-look and change the theme from Raleigh to something else

it was on kali dark already

EDIT: switching TO Raleigh fixed the fonts, Brave just crashes now after a second. Posting from librewolf

Using nwg-look created a bunch of configs that did not exist before, its making lots of programs crash, I used a Timeshift snapshot to no avail, how do I access old terminal output? Anyway, here's my log starting brave from terminal:

Switching fonts & cursors to Adwaita in nwg-look fixes it, because Brave et al. cannot find icons otherwise and crash while accessing memory that does not exist

Got a similar issue with some other applications like the terminal (Kitty), Kate, LibreOffice and system UIs in general where the fonts are way too big.

I have been searching in the config files but did not find any configuration to fix it
I also try nwg-look, changing themes and fonts but didn't work either

In case that it helps I'm runing hyprland in a Laptop with 1366x768 res, scale 1

its your resolution

kitty - ~.config/kitty/kitty.conf
rofi - edit ~/.config/rofi/config.rasi and all the other themes in ~/.config/rofi/themes

brave no idea I dont use chrome based browsers

kitty - ~.config/kitty/kitty.conf rofi - edit ~/.config/rofi/config.rasi and all the other themes in ~/.config/rofi/themes

I follow your recommendation and worked on kitty.

I fix it in the rest of apps by changing the font size in the qt6ct.conf and the qt5ct.conf under ~.config/

thanks <3
