"An error occurred" when trying to update to 7.7.9

Brief summary

when I try to update it gives me "An error occurred" and the download gets paused, I tried downloading the update from github directly but it says app not installed, there is other issues about migration but I'm pretty sure this isn't duplicated

Steps to reproduce

1. open Kotatsu
2. touch the update button at the top
3. try to update
