Bug Summary

when adding a Carla Patchbay or a Carla rack instrument the UI breaks. dragging windows is hard and the ui glitches
i included a video demonstrating below
carla itself is functional. lmms menu bar is functional. the toolbar is functional. the sidebar is not fully functional (the section where files/plugins are is glitching)
loading a project with carla works but the ui breaks again when opening the carla instrument window

Expected Behaviour

adding carla should keep lmms usable

Steps To Reproduce

  1. add a carla rack or carla patchbay instrument to the project
  2. drag a window or add a new instrument

after looking into the issue more, this could've been caused by 729593c since this commit was merged after my most recent working version, the only one that have modified Carla.cpp since then and is related to the user interface
although it's weird how it doesn't cause any error logs. and how i can't reproduce the bug using the nightly appimage from github actions on the same system
anyway here's a visual comparison, it might be useful (version with the bug on the right)
carla
I've also tried other things that were modified by that commit (like eq, granular pitch shifter, tap tempo, vectorscope) and none did trigger the bug
