System Information

aarch64 Ubuntu on top of Termux

LMMS Version(s)

1.3.0-alpha.1.727+g95a051808 (I build from source)

Most Recent Working Version

Bug Summary

When exporting audio and loading projects, Zyn will reset itself.
On loading it cannot remember presets (and probably anything else).
On exporting, it'll set everything to default then export the music.

I am afraid that it's a "It Doesn't Work Only On My Machine" type of thing, like the Equaliser taking well over a minute to load for the first time.

Expected Behaviour

Zyn using the presets I told it to use.
I want my strings, dammit :/

Steps To Reproduce

Load up LMMS, get a preset like the DualStrings Oct2 for example, make it play something and export.

I can somewhat half reproduce it:

  1. Start with an empty project: "New from template > Empty".
  2. Open the "My Presets" tab and pull the preset "ZynAddSubFx > Strings > 0068-Dual Strings Oct2.xiz" into the Song Editor.
  3. Enter some notes.
  4. Play the "song". It will song bright.
  5. Export into a file.
  6. Play the "song" again. It will now sound more muffled like a filter is being applied.
  7. Play the exported file. It also sounds muffled.

This problem only seems to occur after the first start. It can be fixed by moving the "FREQ" knob in LMMS' "ZynAddSubFx" GUI. While doing so it becomes obvious that the knob does not really represent the real state as it is still rendered as fully applied when in fact it corresponds to the knob being put halfway.

Oh, I was also wondering why the strings also sounded more like synths than before, so by turning that knob, this means I can obtain their old behaviour then.
Still, in my case Zyn literally deletes all of its settings before exporting
