i couldent find a better term than note-property, but the idea is to include a notes detune-values, in those properties that is inherited to 'Last-note'. This would mean that if a user left click on an existing note, that has a detune-profile, then the next note he left-create, will be created with that detune-profile. This would inhance workflow. Now the detuned-note need to be copy-pasted, and thats good! -but included in 'Last-note' would be better.

And what happens when you only want one note detuned?

You have to detune the note, then add the next note, and detune that
AGAIN to remove the detune... and let's face it, the situation where you
only need one (or a few) notes detuned is much more common than the
situation where you'd want to detune a lot of notes. With note length
it's not a big deal because you can easily resize notes with just a
flick of a mouse, but there's no such easy mechanism to cancel a note
detune.

Seems like you didn't think this one through...

I'd rather we improve the usability of the detune tool, and make the
detuning adjustable in the piano roll without having to open automation
editor for it (as has already been discussed).

I actually think that saving the detuning would be good.
Maybe you may want to have multiple notes with the same detune (and we know the effects of having slightly different detunes playing at the same time!)

But it's true what you say. That's why I think that a "reset-note" button would be useful. This is also needed for Amplitude and Panning properties of the note. It's easy to have a 100%Left note, but it's difficult to put a note back to standard amplitude.

Of course it's not that all these things are impossible right now. You can copy-paste a detuned note and then move it freely, as well as you can put any note on a track of the BBeditor and click it from PianoRoll to reset Amplitude/Panning/Detune and then set the note lenght to a standard value...

Already implemented.

My bad :(
Is it in 1.0.2 already?

Anyway: so I think there is no problem in this new feature.

And what happens when you only want one note detuned?

Then i just pick the 'profile' from any not detuned note, and work as usual
Granted, if i have started with a detuned note, and no normal-notes are in the score,(eg nothing to 'pick' normal profile from), then i have to pick one from the dropdown. But your design with a possibillity to detune without the de-tune-editing, is in a complete different league! It would be extremely good if the de-tune-line simply could be dragged out of any (d-t-cabable) note. A super idea! Would love to have that

as has already been discussed

Shift-drag notes to copy the note detuning. But if you absolutely want to click and have the last detuning copied, it could be fixed by a clone tool? #6140
