Entities like Anonymouse dont have a detection for watery terrain -
while the player is swimming in H2O - Anonymouse is simply ignoring the watery and running over it as if the H2O isnt there-
suggestion to add a check to Enemy entities if they are touching water -
and create either a swimming sprite or block them from entering the liquid with collision detection of them hitting a solid object -
mayhaps they await the player exiting the liquid puddle
