POST issue, missing header?

Hi,

I'm trying to create new record, trying to get new created id, but I get no response, resp. I get 204, record created, but I did not get new id. According to docs it seems header "Prefer": "return=representation" is required.

Can you please look at it and add the proper header, post and patch? I have not test it with combination of show_annotation yet.

Hi,

The default Prefer header should be set correctly in the default headers of the client. Not sure what else could be wrong here.

I see. The issue is, that I'm using client.show_annotation = true (I'm using it by default for queries), which is the same Prefer header, and probably overrides the "return=representation" ... so the issue is about combining these two together.
In the meantime I was able to fix it by setting Prefer header (client.headers["Prefer"] = 'return=representation, odata.include-annotations="*"'). Not sure if it is the proper way to combine it, but code is working.

PS. Sorry, my searching does not work well, was not able to find the representation value for the first time.
