Generally it would be great if @NixOS/foundation addressed NixOS/org#79 so we don't have to do this ad hoc all the time. |
Did you try to do it yourself? https://github.com/orgs/NixOS/teams/documentation-team/members shows that you are a team maintainer; it should allow you to invite new members to the team. |
@zimbatm I can invite members, but not change their team role or the team's permissions to repositories. I'd prefer to have a uniform policy so we can get away from the case-by-case pestering of org owners. That's what the foundation board issue is for; neither me or the docs team can make that decision. |
Ok, I'm decomposing what you said in two different requests:
It's not exactly what you said, but hopefully that lines up close enough. I'm avoiding adding individuals to repos as it doesn't scale well. |
Thanks. I suppose when there is time I'll elaborate on the permissions procedure and make a PR to the board's repo or something like that, so we have a repeatable process. |
This issue has been mentioned on NixOS Discourse. There might be relevant details there: https://discourse.nixos.org/t/2023-05-08-documentation-team-meeting-notes-46/27965/1 |
@domenkozar please give @zmitchell commit access to this repo. He's leading the Learning Journey Working Group and maintains lots of tracking issues for which he needs write access. Also now and then I'm a bottleneck on merging PRs.
