If I understand correctly, this project could be an alternative to Meetup.com .

So I'm very interested in this.

Can you setup a recurring donation system like

• https://salt.bountysource.com/

https://bountysource.com has also a bounty part which allows to - if even with money you can't get more involved in the project - encourage and pay external people to contribute to the development.

wanawana is an important project, Meetup.com is already almost a monopoly and this a bad thing.

Hello, I totally agree that we should have an alternative to meetup.com. Sadly I don't have time to work on this project anymore (and liberapay is in big trouble). I think you have more chance looking at https://gettogether.community/ which seems to have quite some traction righ now. Thanks for your interest :)
