Joomla 5 using Contacts component - No Captcha displayed

I've installed and configured this plugin, set as default Joomla captcha and verified the contact form allows captcha using default global plugin. No sign of plugin being called or used. I would be happy to provide credentials if you are able to assist.

I was using joomla's v2 invisible, after joomla 5.2 update, its badge disappeared. So I switched to this v3 plugin, now I can see the badge at bottom-right of the screen, but when inputs are invalid form is still submitted and page reloads. I'm using RS contact forms, and SP page builder on Helix framework.
I know this is not much of a contribution but, something is going on between above mentioned components. If I make any progress, will write here.

I was able to resolve the issues with this plugin as they were related to a custom component that wasn’t setup correctly. I used the built in contacts component to verify basic functionality.
