Describe the solution you'd like

Id like a check box added to the cutting dialog that allows you to specify if you want to perform the cut in the X, Y, or Z plane, instead of only being able to perform cuts along the Z plane and needing to rotate parts so the Z plane becomes the one you want to cut.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Currently if i need to make a cut in the X or Y plane I need to rotate the item so the X or Y plane become the Z plane.

Grab any of the arrows around the ball on the cutting tool (red and green in my screenie) and rotate the cutting plane however you see fit.
