Is your feature request related to a problem?

It is impossible to manipulate modifiers because user cannot see the modifier geometry when it falls within the original object.

As can be seen in the image below, not even the selection box is visible when the modifier intersects the original geometry,

The actual shape of the modifier needs to be visible at the same time as the original for precise placement.

A similar ask was made for Preview - adjustable model opacity/transparency #6671 - but doesn't solve for editing the modifiers.

Which printers will be beneficial to this feature?

All

Describe the solution you'd like

Would like the Prepare workspace to have a translucent mode that lets users see the relationship of original objects and their modifier geometry.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Alternates are different rendering methods. Simplest would be just showing the modifiers bounding box, but if the relationship user is trying to construct requires understanding how shapes interact that will not be sufficient.

Additional context

It doesn't need to be this rendering style, but Onshape's translucent style makes it easy to see relationships of intersecting shapes.
