Synchronizing subtitles with inaccurate timings has never been easier! Automatic Language-Agnostic Subtitle Synchronization (ALASS), a command-line tool, can align subtitles to videos regardless of the language.

However, it's important to note that ALASS development seems to have stalled, with the creator, @kaegi, inactive for over five years.

Given Subtitle Edit's popularity, integrating ALASS as a synchronization method would be fantastic. This would significantly improve subtitle editing workflows for both individual lines and batch processing.

Here's hoping this functionality becomes a reality in the near future!
