Auto BR - is it possible to set the language when working on the Auto Br field on the Text area?

Hi everybody
I have a subtitle which is a mix of English and French (mainly French with some sentences in English). Seems like Subtitle Edit automatically sets the language of files to English. When working from Fix Common Errors, I can set the language to French and do a Break long lines. Result is good for French. ( I am using the Tools Settings : Use do-not-break-after list for French)
However, when working on the Subtitle Pane and clicking on the Auto br button on the Text area, the result is not as expected. Seems like SE uses the English Do-not-break-afater list, instead of the French one.

That is why I am asking if there is an option somewhere to set the language of the Subtitle Edit, and this will be used by the Auto br button?
