{{file_path:relative}} sometimes returns the *previously* active note #379

Thank you for your report. Does this happen when using the event Switching the active pane? Or in some other situation? What version of Obsidian do you exactly have? I think there hasn't been any changes to events in SC during the last few months, so without better knowing yet, maybe it's a change in Obsidian. But I can't rule out a possibility that there could be a defect in SC. Will see. |

I did some testing and it look like Switching the active pane event detects the correct current page, but my personal use case that wasn’t getting the current page wasn’t using the events trigger, but from an QuickAdd macro that calls the Shell Command.
Obsidian 1.5.3
macOS 14.1
I was on SC 0.20.1. I just upgraded and will see if it still occurs.

And what operating system?
I assume you are using SC 0.21.0?

This is still an open issue. There is nothing before the Shell Command in the QuickAdd macro. The only thing that’s happening is that QuickAdd is being invoked with a hotkey to open a group of QuickAdd commands, which allows me to select one of them (different transcription services). If it’s first time (in a while) invoking it, Shell Commands gets the wrong open |

I haven’t been able to determine when this happens, but often since the recent update to Obsidian (and/or Shell Commands),
{{file_path:relative}}
(and presumably without therelative
parameter), will return the previously active note, not the currently active note.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
