Videos and Images exit on screen rotation

When I open am image or video when my phone is upright and I rotate it, the video or the image does not rotate with it as it should, it exits into the chat I opened it from, causing me reopen it in the rotated position, which is extremely inconvenient.

This issue is only present with telegram foss, rotation works fine in other applications.

Version: Latest Telegram FOSS from fdroid
Device: Pixel 6a
OS: Android 14, latest GrapheneOS patch for this device

Additional info: video rotation works in telegram x and I also did reset all app settings, uninstalling telegram foss also does not help
