Gex 3 model issues #9
Comments
Am I understanding correctly that you're referring to animated effects when you say skins? Are you able to at least export the models and textures? |
Try checking Options->IndexedTextures->Use Unique before you export. By default, ModelEx will try to combine all the textures into one by overwriting unused parts. This option turns that off. |
That won't help the animated stuff though. I'm trying to make sure all bugs are fixed, transparency and polygon offset is working correctly before more complicated stuff like that. The file format changes somewhat between different games in this engine, and I want to avoid any solutions that don't work for all of them. That means I need to understand all of them properly before trying it out. |
by "skins" I mean like, alternate textures, such as the Candlesticks blinking, the Rogue Mech's leg lights changing, the ladybug's faces, etc, but yes, animated frames are also missing. |
that's also fine, take your time, I'm just pointing out bugs is all. One of the gex caves won't open either and i forgot which one. |
a few things to note is that i love how it was able to import models from Gex 3, however there is a few major issues, mainly that It cannot export skins(in example, billiard balls, blinking textures, animated texture frames, etc. second, the file for the Army Channel won't open in the program, but other other file is fine(as far as i am aware) dunno if that's just me, but that's the only one unable to be opened with ModelEx5
