Is it possible to run both nanodlp (binary, downloaded from official website) and this project on an Ubuntu PC?

I've loaded the display with the right .tft file and have it connected to my pc, changed the /dev/ttyAMA0 to /dev/ttyUSB0, even changed the url to localhost:8080 (which nanodlp runs on) inside the config.json file. And still, I'm stuck at Connecting to printer....
