Authorship

Mine: I am the author of this map

Map Description (optional)

Hello! My name is Xlutch. This is my first, and quite possibly the most updated map that will ever grace my map making journeys.

Kudos to the following- from recent to beginning: smithblackery, Quaestor alfred007, arc, Arithyce, and Corrupt Embezzlement Crab. -Cool people deserve cool kudos-ing.

Little (not really little) backstory on this one: One day, I joined the Warzone 2100 Discord, only because I wanted to play some
multiplayer. I did play multiplayer, but absolutely sucked at it. A little bored over my fixation at the time, I decided to go
ahead and try my hand at map making. I had gotten help from two users named, "Corrupt Embezzlement Crab," and,
"Arithyce," with the FlaME download, and absolutely not done anything for a literal month (starting from May 27th). Luckily
though, on June 25th, I decided to touch FlaME. This was my first time actually using the software, but not the first time I've
ever created maps for games before. When I loaded up FlaME, I found myself getting nostalgic vibes for the times I made
Warcraft 2 maps in the Wine Map Editor. Although it was different, I knew exactly what to do. I... I didn't know what to do. A
little realization later, I went to work making Roadside. The road idea came up like a bubble to pop, The buildings practically
sprung up out of the ground- the history coming with it. Cars seemed to flip on the roads in realtime, as I began carefully
dynamiting the ground to show heavy artillery. In the distance, a residential area was shown, and near the city was residents
ready to defend their home. I check and recheck if I place an oil derrick on an oil resource or not, then played my masterpiece.
But it was late at night, I felt tired, and I decided to turn off my PC after a second testing. Now it was finished! What di I do
with it? Why I decided to sit on the map like game companies with their IPs! So after a good three months, and settling in the
school atmosphere, I found the map again on October 12th. I decided to send a message in the discord regarding the map.

"hm," I texted expecting to send images of the map. "damn, still can't send images on chat," I say, with a bit of a frown.

A few minutes past, and a user named, "arc," @ a user named, "Quaestor alfred007."

An hour or two pass away, and I was given the 'ally' role. I was delighted, and I posted the picture (I would've described the
scene, but decided against it). I also found the map database that day, and also began my descent into the realization that my
map was insanely flawed. Did I ever actually play test the map? No, of course not! Do I want to play test the map? No, I'm
quite tired. When I forwarded the map download (from this very database) to the discord 'maps' section, I decided to dust my
hands and slept on the map for 2 days. on October 2nd, a user named, "smithblackery," downloaded and played the map.
Problem was- it was hell to play. They told me what I have done wrong, and I immediately went straight to fixing the
problems. So I fixed the problems, and called it a night. That's what you would like to hear, instead I sat on it for 3 days before
he asked me if I had an updated version. So then I actually fixed the map, then put it back on the database. I then decided to
actually check my map out, so I put it in the maps folder, and loaded the game. When I had loaded in the map, I was
absolutely bamshobashed by how stupid it was to play- even fixed. So I put up another fixed version. I thought that would be
the final fix, bit decided to check that final fix. It was, infact, NOT the final fix. So before going to bed that night, I fixed a few of
the last problems there were, then went to bed. I was finally done, after clearing up a misunderstanding with smithblackery on
the map download in the discord (didn't forward the actual final fix (RoadsideFixdDot2)).

Was that the end though? Yes, it was the end. It was *finally* the end. Now to check the other maps I made since June
25th-27th it would seem...

Notes for Reviewers (optional)

With this actual final upload of the map, I will be making a series of maps regarding scavengers and players. This new upload is a fix, and a question to those that run the database as to why my map hasn't been uploaded on the website yet. I wouldn't be offended if you had so many maps to go through tho.
