Is there / will be there a way to group secrets into folders?

Are there plans for this? What would it need to implement it? Would it especially require change of server code?

No plans at the moment because we're quite happy with the UI as it is! This could be done all client-side if you want to implement it.

Doesn't it get very cluttered when you have many accounts?

I think it depends somewhat on how you use passopolis. I personally prefer searching over organising which is what attracted me to mitro in the first place. For the organisers other managers like lastpass might be a better fit.

You raise a valid point but I think the design space is quite well covered by various open source and commercial products so there are no plans to change this.

Sure.
Actually Passopolis/Mitro is our last hope in the password manager space :-) It seems one / the only one of the few that can securely store and share passwords. We hope that we can contribute a folder functionality ... will have a look.

We're really interested in passopolis being a real "open source" project with multiple contributors, people running their own servers etc. Unfortunately the moving from the current hacky code base to a more manageable code base turned out to be somewhat complicated and we've lost momentum.

I'm 80% done on making the server deployment code publish-able so that will happen this year. The frontend build is a proper mess of copying & string replacement and needs someone to migrate it to gulp or webpack.

Oh my ... that year is still long :-) What do you think about setting up a gitter.im channel?

I am also interested in some sort of grouping. I would prefer labels instead of folders. That does offer more flexibility as one entry have multiple labels.

Yeah, labels would be awesome
