Women's Lunch Topic: Mentorship
One of the most helpful things you can do for your career and growth in tech is to find a mentor (or two). Mentors are helpful because, in addition to expertise in their field, they have a network of business professionals and, most importantly, they are willing to share what and who they know. People who mentor are likely to have had mentors at some point who helped them understand their industry better, hone their strengths or sharpen skills.
Let's get together and share our thoughts and advice on:
- Why mentor's are useful
- How to find a mentor
- How to be a mentor
Here's a few readings if you want to learn a bit more ahead of time, or just show up to the lunch and join in the discussion.
