Currently the only Turing-supported platforms for personal devices are Windows and macOS. Failing to support any open platforms makes REG's claimed commitment to openness look superficial, and may also have an impact on recruitment.

Making Linux available as one of the options would address this (it could be some other open platform, but Linux is likely to be the most popular).

The task is therefore to try to encourage the Turing to support Linux as a first-class platform alongside Windows and macOS.

The details of this issue relate to internal IT policies which it wouldn't be appropriate to share publicly, so please see the documents on SharePoint for further info.
