Quest 3 controller not detected on Linux #2521

Upon more testing, I found that at least some games (SkyrimVR) correctly function with the controllers, so it must be something dependent on each title. I'll close this discussion for now and possibly report an issue with more specific information if I reencounter this problem. |

Hi,
I'm using Manjaro Linux with KDE/Wayland/NVidia, and I have trouble getting the Quest 3 controllers recognised with SteamVR/ALVR.
Although I managed to get SteamVR and ALVR to work together, it never detected my controllers. SteamVR's device status window only shows a green icon for the headset while displaying either greyed-out or blinking ones for the controllers.
Strangely, I can use the controllers in the Steam VR Home application. But for some reason, all the other Steam games I've tried failed to detect them.
The problem seems to persist regardless of the version (i.e. stable release or the
alvr-git
AUR package + apk).I'm unsure if it's relevant, but I couldn't get the wired setup to work either.
Could anyone give me some pointers on how to debug this problem?
Thanks!
