Previously, I have been using ADBForwarder and version 20.10.0 in order to play VR over USB as my internet is too unstable to get consistent performance. Today, when attempting to connect using the Store version of ALVR on the Quest 3 alongside V20.10.0 I received the error "Handshake error for 5584.client: Try again".
After a few minutes trying to make sense of this error, I decided to upgrade to the newest stable release and try on that release. However, I am unable to connect over wired connection in the newest release. Under the wired connection header in the devices tab it registers as "unknown" and lists as disconnected while wired connection is turned on. In addition, I am able to connect over wifi by adding the device manually and inputting the IP address. But this method also fails to connect until I turn off the wired connection option.
Previously, I had to run ADBForwarder as root in order to get it to work (see This issue on ADBForwarder's github), so I attempted to run ALVR as root as well since the issue may be related. However that leads to #2225 .
General Troubleshooting

Ignore, saw the new instructions on how to connect. Thought that the connection type in the settings was reffering to where we got the ALVR client in the headset. Using the Store version in the headset and setting the connection type to github fixed the problem.
