trash-cli on Synology's DSM OS?

Does anybody have experience with installing and using trash-cli on Synology's DSM OS?

DSM offers a recycle bin, but I but I don't know how compatible it is with trash-cli.

I don't know trashbin of Synology's DSM OS but I know the trash-spec [1] that are used by trash-cli and other (Gnome, KDE, ...).

Please enable the DSM trahsbin, trash something, and then run the following commands and, if you want, send the result.

$ df
$ ls /Trash-* -ladR
$ ls /Trash -ladR
$ ls ~/.local/share/Trash/ -ladR

If any of the ls command prints something DSM probably support the trash-spec [1] and it is compatible with trash-cli.

If the df output seems to indicate that there are more partitions try also these two commands for each top level dir.

$ ls $topdir/Trash-* -ladR
$ ls $topdir/Trash -ladR

If you can install trash-cli just put something in the DSM trashbin and the use the command trash-list see if the trash-cli can detect the trashed file. If it does DSM probably support in part of completely the trash-spec [1].

Another thing you can try use DSM to trash two files with the same name (for example test.txt), and the restore only the second file. If the second file get a name different from the original (e.g. test_1.txt or test (2).txt) then the DSM is not using the trash-spec.
