• I am using the latest version of PyMAPDL and its dependencies (fully updated virtual environment). You can update them using pip install --upgrade --upgrade-strategy eager ansys-mapdl-core in your activated virtual environment.

🔍 Description of the bug

PyMapdl should be able to launch or send jobs to a cluster/hpc.
We have had a couple conversations with customers (apdl do it yourself types) who have requested this capability.
PyMapdl and a HPC would be a pretty useful tool for optimization and/or generating data for future AI/ML projects.

@mcMunich do you mean that PyMAPDL should be able to send a MAPDL input file and the machine specs to a Job Scheduler? Like RSM?

Sort of... we have requests of a better HPC support. While HPS provides very good support on this, it does require extra services on the HPC infrastructure which can delay addoption or even grant you a denial from the HPC admins.

To improve HPC support, we are enhancing PyMAPDL. There are several lines of work which are detailed in: #3467

We have already some in place (#3500), and some on the works (#3713) .... other will have to wait for further adoption like send an input deck and run it.
