It won't work with the file from your mobile. If you don't have an E-ink Kindle, try updating Kindle for PC. DeDRM 10.0.9 can handle most books from Kindle for PC 2.0. |

I think the latest version of Kindle for PC is 2.0.1. So not sure where you're getting 4.16. Is that the old Windows store app? If the book was published this year, it probably won't download to anything but the latest desktop Kindle for PC. Other possible workarounds involve an E-ink Kindle or an older version of Kindle for Android run in Bluestacks. |

Unfortunately your not going to be able to decrypt that book. It's a textbook from Pearson with Amazon's strongest DRM which cannot be removed at the moment. You can't even use one of the other workarounds because the book's page says it isn't available for Kindle ereaders or anything but the latest version of the apps. |

I was trying to get a book from Kindle for PC. I am having both 1.17 and 4.16 versions in my PC. Both gave the same error: "Your device needs to update to a newer version to get this book". Frustrated, I used my mobile to download it on the Kindle mobile app, where it was successful. Next I transferred the kindle files from my mobile to my PC. And then used Calibre to check if it could convert them. The files imported in my system from my mobile were all .kfx(there was no EBOK file, maybe because my phone app is updated). The Calibre does recognise the file, but during conversion gives the following error.

As you can see, the calibre version is 5.44.0, and the plugins are DeDRM(10.0.9) and KfX Input Plugin(2.5.0), and my Windows is 10. I have put the logs as a reference for this. Please help me somebody!!
