Cannot install

I'm new to Kodi, am using 17.4, on osmc having trouble installing from the zip file.
I downloaded the repo zip file on 9 Sept 2017 onto a clean installation.

Log file message is:
21:23:10.097 T:1958686720 DEBUG: CAddonInstaller: installing from zip '/home/osmc/master.zip'
21:23:10.099 T:1958686720 ERROR: Failed to read 'zip://%2fhome%2fosmc%2fmaster.zip/repo-master/addon.xml'

Could this error be due to the zip file containing a file named 'addons.xml' rather than 'addon.xml'?

Hi Tony,

I think I know where you have gone wrong - you must have downloaded the zip file for the entire github repo rather than the zip file for the Aussie Add-ons repo that is -within- the github repo. Github can be pretty confusing! The file you were looking for is in this page: https://github.com/xbmc-catchuptv-au/repo/tree/master/repository.googlecode.xbmc-catchuptv-au

But to make things easier, we've got some step by step instructions here: http://aussieaddons.com/installation/ and if you just want to download the zip file - http://r.aussieaddons.com/repo.zip
