I've looked at the test file and seen some examples of queries there. My first impression is that they look quite similar to om.next queries. Or are they? My guess is d2q shares some goal with pathom

They are quite similar, but they aim at being more general and expressive, at the expense of some concision. d2q definitely overlaps with library like pathom, walkable, or Lacinia (and may become their backend, who knows?).
