The network error keeps showing up during installation, but the video is not stuck at all

This can be because of your region. BCU uses github to download required asset data, and China has blocked github, so that can be the reason why BCU failed to download assets

Java itself can't use VPN. VPN detects web browser and auto connects those browsers with itself, but opposite way doesn't work

Other possible reason can be because of anti virus program. Most of anti virus program flags uncertificated programs (Certification requires money to be paid) as untrusted ones, and it blocks those programs for no reason. If it's not problem of the region, you will have to either whitelist BCU, or remove that anti virus program
