Missing add button on Shopping>stores

I'm experiencing a similar error as another thread on 2022.07 self-hosted on docker. I'm only missing the "add" button on the "stores" page though. I can add stores in the budget>payees page if I mark it as a "use for shopping", but I can't add on the stores page directly. Maybe that's the intended way of adding stores now.

I'm not able to reproduce this unfortunately. Do you have a household subscribed to Homechart Cloud? I'm assuming you do if it's working with Budget > Payees. Do you have the Shop permission set to view/can you create Shop > Items?

What version is listed at the bottom of the menu? v2022.07.3+e7e6f9c?

I do not have it connected to a cloud account yet. I'm actually having trouble with that, I'll probably make another discussion post on that.

I'm not sure about the shop permission. Where can I check that? I don't see Shop>Items. I do have Shop>Categories, but that page also does not have an add button. Shop>Staples does have the add button. In Shop>Pickup, there is an add button, but when the "New Item" screen is opened, only "cancel" is visible on the bottom of the menu, no "add item" button. I'm comparing to the cloud demo here.

Yea that's the problem, you need to be part of a household at the moment. There's a bugfix in the next version that will fix this for Shop > Items (Pick Up etc), but Stores need the household to be connected. What's the problem with getting it connected?

So I do have a household created and it appears I am a member of it, since I'm presented with the option to leave it. It is listed under the Households under settings. Let me start another discussion on joining the cloud.

Solution to this issue was to properly connect my self-hosted instance to a homechart cloud account.
