Site

phanpy.social

Version

2024.10.08.0a176e2

Instance

social.lol

Browser

  • Safari on iOS 17 and iOS 18.
  • Progressive web app on iOS 17 and iOS 18.

Bug description

Tapping on the top of the screen should scroll the timeline back to the top (similar to what pressing the “new posts” button does). Instead of scrolling to the top, nothing happens when tapping at the top of the screen.

To reproduce

  1. Scroll down on the timeline to see earlier posts.
  2. Tap the top of the screen (near the time or Dynamic Island)
  3. Timeline does not scroll up to the top to display the newest post in the timeline.

Expected behavior

I would expect Phanpy to act like other sites and web views in Safari and installed on the home screen. For other websites, including the Mastodon web view, tapping the top scrolls to the top of the site or newest item in the timeline.

Other

This is purely a quality of life fix.

Unfortunately, a technical limitation for now. Current alternative solution is tapping on the top nav bar 🙇‍♂️

Got it! Tapping on the nav bar will do what I need. I didn't know that was an option.

I appreciate all your work on Phanpy. It's awesome!
